A new comic play about the greatest of Ancient Greek Poets, Sappho.

SAPPHO is inspired by the writings of Sappho, the Greek lyric poet who flourished in the 6th century BC on the isle of Lesbos. Integrating the original poetry and a traditional chorus with modern music and contemporary dance, SAPPHO is an adult fairy tale, a theatrical event that will take the audience on a thrilling, romantic journey. Admired since antiquity for the beauty of her writing style, Sappho was known as the Poetess, just as Homer was called the Poet. The play tells the story of a time early in her life that may or may not have happened.

Featuring Marianthi Pantelopoulou (as Sappho), Antonis Antonakos, Errika Bigiou, Elton Dimroci, Iovi Fragatou, Dimitris Liolios, Grigoris Poimenidis, Elina Rizou, Yorgos Spanias, Dimitra Stogianni, Eleftheria Tsantouri and Lazaros Vartanis.

    The open-air theatre of Hydrama is set in two acres of sea-side land at the foot of a Mycenaean settlement on the island of Hydra in Greece.

  • Open Air Theatre of Andros

    The open-air theatre of Andros is located in Chora, between the neoclassical City Hall and the Lyceum. The theatre is built on an idyllic hillside which is protected from the wind and gives panoramic view of the south.

    The Delphi open-air Theatre known as the Frynihos Theatre has a capacity of 1,100 seats, lined with local stone and stunning view over the bay of Itea. This modern looking ancient theatre is part of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi.

  • Palace of the Knights

    The Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, also known as the Kastello Καστέλο is a medieval castle in the city of Rhodes. It is one of the few examples of Gothic architecture in Greece. The site was previously a citadel of the Knights Hospitaller that functioned as a palace, headquarters, and fortress.

Η ΣΑΠΦΩ είναι ένα νέο έργο εμπνευσμένο από τα γραπτά της Σαπφούς, της Ελληνίδας λυρικής ποιήτριας που άκμασε τον 6ο αιώνα π.Χ. στη νήσο Λέσβο. Συνδυάζοντας την πρωτότυπη ποίηση και ένα παραδοσιακό χορικό με μοντέρνα μουσική και σύγχρονο χορό, η ΣΑΠΦΩ είναι ένα παραμύθι για ενηλίκους, ένα θεατρικό γεγονός που θα ταξιδέψει το κοινό σε ένα συναρπαστικό, ρομαντικό ταξίδι. Θαυμαζόμενη από την αρχαιότητα για την ομορφιά του τρόπου γραφής της, όπως ο Όμηρος ονομαζόταν ο Ποιητής, η Σαπφώ ήταν γνωστή ως η Ποιήτρια. Το έργο αφηγείται την ιστορία μιας περιόδου στην αρχή της ζωή της που μπορεί να συνέβη ή να μην συνέβη.

  • Hydrama Theatre

    Το ανοιχτό θέατρο στο ελληνικό νησί της Ύδρας, καλύπτει δυο παραθαλάσσια στρέμματα στους πρόποδες ενός μυκηναϊκού οικισμού.

  • Ανοιχτό Θέατρο Άνδρου

    Το Ανοιχτό Θέατρο Άνδρου βρίσκεται στη Χώρα της Άνδρου, ανάμεσα στο νεοκλασικό Δημαρχιακό Μέγαρο και το Λύκειο. Το Θέατρο έχει χτιστεί σε ειδυλλιακή πλαγιά με φυσική κλίση προστατευμένη από τον άνεμο και πανοραμική θέα προς το νότο.

  • Θέατρο Φρύνιχος

    Δυναμικότητας 1100 θέσεων σε δυο διαζώματα, με επένδυση από πέτρα της περιοχής και εκπληκτική θέα προς τον κόλπο της Ιτέας. Το εκσυγχρονισμένο αυτό αρχαίο θέατρο ανήκει στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο Δελφών.

  • Το Παλάτι των Ιπποτών

    Το Παλάτι του Μεγάλου Μαγίστρου των Ιπποτών της Ρόδου, γνωστό επίσης ως Καστέλο, είναι ένα μεσαιωνικό κάστρο στην πόλη της Ρόδου. Είναι ένα από τα λίγα δείγματα γοτθικής αρχιτεκτονικής στην Ελλάδα. Η τοποθεσία υπήρξε ακρόπολη των Ιωαννιτών Ιπποτών που λειτουργούσε ως παλάτι, διοικητικό κέντρο κι οχυρό
